Happy birthday to hometown hero and American composer, Glenn Branca.

A big happy birthday to American composer,  Glenn Branca, a hero from my hometown, Harrisburg, PA.

Born on October 6, 1948, he turns 65 today.

He is another musician I first discovered from listening to an early ROIR cassette.

65 is a good age. We wish you the best and keep on doing what you’re doing.

I can’t really add anything that hasn’t been said before, so fill yourself in here.

Finally hooked my tape player up after 3 years. First tape is The Stimulators Loud Fast Rules! ROIR Cassette.

Thought I’d start with The Stimulators Loud Fast Rules! ROIR cassette.
It has been awhile. I don’t think I have listened to this tape in 20 t0 25 years.

Featuring a young Harley Flanagan from the Cro-Mags on drums/”Sophisticated Skins”.

The Stimulators also features founder Denise Mercedes on “Loud Fast Guitar”, Patrick Mack is “the Singer”, and Nick Marden is on “Bass Action”.

Recorded live at The Pier in Raleigh, North Carolina on August 31st. 1981.

Features a cover of KISS’sRock ‘n’ Roll All Night“.
